ETA Star International was envisioned to make a foray into the power sector and allied fields. The vision turned into reality in 2004. Until 2003, the company was handling projects, which were of the order of AED 15 million per annum. With new projects in hand, the company today has over 2000 employees, besides 600 people employed indirectly as subcontractors. The year 2004 was a turning point in the company’s annals.

ETA Star International was catapulted into the big league after contracts of Toshiba and IHI from Japan came its way for ‘L’ power station in Dubai. The company also bagged orders from DEWA, ADWEA, LG and other companies for turnkey Extra High Voltage cabling projects. The projects involved engineering, procuring and commissioning of 132 KV and 220 KV cables of over 500 km.

The new orders along with specialized maintenance contracts for power and desalination plants increased the contracts under execution to more than AED 1 Billion. Incidentally, its stress on quality has helped it retain its elite clientele including FEWA, National Wheel J&P and many others.

ETA Star International emphasis on quality and its faultless and smooth execution of projects have earned it accolades from prestigious companies like ABB, Siemens, Site Technologies, and Hyundai. The electric company’s jointers were trained in the US-based Elastimold Factory in 132 KV cable jointing. This has made the company’s cabling division self-sufficient and more competitive.

ETA Star International has also successfully completed Landmark Projects, involving Structures of Complex geometry in Khartoum (Sudan), Astana (Kazakhstan), Abu Dhabi (U.A.E) and Kuwait.
