The ETA special projects division has the competence, confidence and the facilities to design, engineer, manufacture and erect 3 dimensional structural wide span enclosures of highly complex geometry. It provides innovative and state-of-the-art solutions to the most challenging 3D structural engineering problems.

A bird’s eye-view of some of the prestigious projects done by ETA Star International Space Frames Division is the expansion of the Departure Terminal for the Khartoum International Airport, Sudan. The job involving double curved 12” steel pipes and standing seam roof with inner and outer skins with a sandwiched insulation layer has been completed. The other prestigious project is that of Alarko Alsim, one of the largest construction contractors in Turkey, and the job was involveing a double-curved Dome cladding for the New Airport Terminal at the Capital city of Astana in Kazakhstan. The job involved Design, Material Supply and Installation of Aluminium double curved cladding with two decorative layers of double curved GRP panels and a building maintenance unit (BMU). The unique feature of the project is the Double Curving of powder coated Aluminium solid mill sheets which were carried out with State of Art machinery and also installation of digitally printed customized motif on the double curved GRP sheets. The job was successfully completed in February 2005.

Arabian Construction Company (ACC), Abu Dhabi awarded the Design, Supply and Installation of the roof feature of an open framed steel structure on top of a 20-storey building, for the Commercial and Residential Complex in Khalidiya, Abu Dhabi. The Wind Tunnel Test for establishing the design wind loads and the force balance reactions of the steel structure was conducted in the sophisticated state of art laboratories in London. The project was successfully completed and is a “land mark” structure in U.A.E.
